About

Hello, I'm Vic.

Profile

A designer based in Charlotte, NC. For over a decade I have carried identities from the first mark through to merchandise, campaign graphics, print, and the interface itself. Brand systems, logo design, apparel, social graphics, fliers, creative direction, and a bit of photography along the way. Outside of the work, I stay grounded through combat sports, basketball, and an insatiable love of music.

What I do

I build visual identities and then take them everywhere they need to go. A festival logo becomes a poster, a tee, a social campaign, and a sponsorship deck. An athletics mark becomes team apparel and a supporter line. That range is the point: I would rather own a brand end to end than hand it off at the logo. Alongside that, I am studying Human-Centered AI at UNC Charlotte, with plans to continue at the graduate level, and I bring the same question to product work that I bring to a garment. How does a person actually use this? That question shaped my recent project, FairLend, a lending dashboard I designed to keep a person in the loop and counter algorithmic bias.

How I think about the work

Design without research fails the people it is meant to serve, whether that is a lending dashboard or a shirt somebody has to want to wear. I bring the attention to detail built over years of production craft, I stay aligned with the goals of the business, and I keep collaboration open and transparent. My aim is to empower the teams I work with, not to override them.

Design rewards practitioners who are disciplined and systematic, qualities my background in sports prepared me for.

How I got here

My path ran through graphic design roles, entrepreneurial ventures, and a return to formal study. Festival identities, storefront campaigns, team apparel, and a long run of merchandise design taught me how a graphic performs once it leaves the file. Product design and research taught me why it performs. I value evidence, I value decisions grounded in careful reasoning, and I am motivated by a real desire to serve the people on the other side of the work.

When I'm not working

I'm chasing the next thing that makes me better. Some days that's the physicality of basketball or the discipline of combat sports; other days it's the finesse of a good fit and a sharp sense of style. My ambition refuses to stay inside my career; I want to win at everything I touch, a little more each day.

Music has always had a grip on me, and making my own is the next mountain I intend to climb (yes, the guitars are coming). I'm proud to call Charlotte home, since a short drive from here lands me in nearly any climate or terrain I please. And though I left New Jersey young, I have no doubt that my grit and refuse-to-quit streak were handed down by a northern family.

Design taste doesn't start at the desk. It's the records, the shows, the details you notice everywhere.
